Independent Japan Travel Service
We provide travel consultation and services for independent travelers who are interested in visiting the countryside and exploring arts and culture on their own or with full/partial escort guides.
We will book lodging, guides, transportation, etc. and ensure smooth and worry-free travel by providing an itinerary with detailed English/Japanese bilingual instructions.
How it works:
Please let us know what you are looking for, your budget, interest, travel style or anything that helps us craft your travel plan. We will send you a tentative itinerary (#1) and estimate of travel expenses and our service fee. This initial service is free of charge.
If you are satisfied with the itinerary (#1) and would like us to commence travel arrangements for you, you are required to send in a signed application form and a deposit of $300. In a few weeks, you will receive a detailed itinerary (#2). If you are satisfied with the itinerary (#2) and would like us to start making reservations of lodging, guide, train, etc., you are required to pay one half of the balance of our service fee. In a few weeks, we will send you an itinerary (#3) with confirmed booking. Within two weeks after you receive the itinerary (#3), you are required to pay the balance of our service fee.
You pay us independent travel service fee only. Except for initial consultation, our service fee is $50 per hour and we require minimum 6 hours of service. Travel expenses such as lodging, transportation, meals, etc. are to be paid by yourself as you travel.
